Participation of the ICC Executive Council in 4th Rotary Institute of Zone 22 Africa of Rotary International, in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) – September 2022

From September 05 to 10, 2022, the 4th Institute of Zone 22 Africa of Rotary International was held in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), in the presence of Jennifer JONES, President of Rotary International.
The Abidjan Institute, organized by the Director of Zones 21 and 22 of Rotary International, Patrick CHISANGA, saw the participation of nearly 600 Rotarians from 53 African States.
The theme of this Institute was « Imagine the Future of Rotary in Africa ». It is in this context that a large space has been dedicated to the Executive Council of the Inter-Country Committees, through a panel of discussions and exchanges, led by the Chairman of the ICC Executive Council, PDG Mohamed GHAMMAM, the Head of Task Force for the Expansion of the ICC in Africa, PDG Christophe KOREKI of District 9101 (West Africa) and PDG Anne Marie Mostert of District 9400 (South Africa).
This panel presented:
– The development of ICC in the world, and in Africa in particular;
– The organization of the Executive Council and the missions of the ICC;
– The practical modalities for the creation of an ICC;
– The 2022-2024 Strategic Plan of the ICC Executive Council;
– The challenges of the ICC for Africa;
– Initiatives to build peace and understanding between peoples in Africa.
All the Rotarians participating in this panel were very enthusiastic to learn more about the role of ICC in building peace and above all were able to better appreciate the challenges of the expansion of ICC across the African continent.
Three full pages were devoted to a publication on ICC in the brochure published on the occasion of the 4th Rotary Institute of Zone 22 Africa.

Participation du Conseil Exécutif des CIP au 4e Institut du Rotary de la Zone 22 Afrique du Rotary International, à Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) – Septembre 2022

Du 05 au 10 septembre 2022, s’est tenu à Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), le 4e Institut de la Zone 22 Afrique du Rotary International, en présence de Jennifer JONES, Présidente du Rotary International.
L’Institut d’Abidjan, organisé par le Directeur des Zones 21 et 22 du Rotary International, Patrick CHISANGA, a vu la participation de près de 600 Rotariens venus de 53 Etats d’Afrique.
Le Thème de cet Institut était « Imaginons l’Avenir du Rotary en Afrique ». C’est dans ce cadre qu’un large espace a été dédié au Conseil Exécutif des Comités Inter Pays, à travers un panel de discussions et d’échanges, animé par le Président du Conseil Exécutif CIP, PDG Mohamed Ghammam, le Responsable de la Task Force pour l’Expansion des CIP en Afrique, PDG Christophe KOREKI du District 9101 (Afrique de l’Ouest) et PDG Anne Marie Mostert du District 9400 (Afrique du Sud).
Ce panel a permis de présenter :
– Le développement des CIP dans le Monde, et en Afrique en particulier ;
– L’organisation du Conseil Exécutif et les missions des CIP ;
– Les modalités pratiques pour la création des CIP ;
– Le Plan Stratégique 2022-2024 du Comité Exécutif des CIP ;
– Les enjeux des CIP pour l’Afrique ;
– Des initiatives de construction de la Paix et d’entente entre les peuples en Afrique.
L’ensemble des Rotariens participant à ce panel ont été très enthousiastes d’apprendre davantage sur le rôle des CIP dans la construction de la Paix et surtout ont pu mieux apprécier les enjeux de l’expansion des CIP à travers le Continent africain.
Trois pleines pages ont été consacrées à une publication sur les CIP dans la plaquette éditée à l’occasion du 4e Institut Afrique du Rotary International de la Zone 22.
