Inter-Country Committees Conference in Rome, on the occasion of the Rotary Institute Rome 2023 – September 15, 2023
The “Peace Forum in the Med”, focused on intercultural dialogue and cooperation for peace in the Mediterranean, took place in Rome on Friday 15 September 2023. This conference, strongly desired by Mohamed Ghammam, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Rotary Inter-Country Committees, was organized in “La Nuvola” Convention Center in Rome by the National Coordination of the Inter-Country Committees of Italy, Malta and San Marino.
The Forum was attended by over one hundred Rotarians coming not only from the Mediterranean basin, but also from various areas of the world.

Alberto Cecchini, Rotary International Director for Zone 14, brought his greetings to the participants as Convener of the “Rome Rotary Institute 2023”.
Present at the Forum was the President of Rotary International Gordon R. McInally, who addressed the attendees with a message of greeting and congratulations for the initiative aimed at preserving and strengthening peace.
His Holiness Pope Francis addressed his greetings to the organizers and participants, expressing appreciation for the initiative and hoping that the event can foster renewed awareness of the divine gift of peace. Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, read his message.
