New features : Section list, global map, Sessions agenda

This Rotary ICC Executive Council’s website is meant as a resource for Rotarians across the globe, whether they are ICC members or not. It features regularly updated information about what ICCs do, along with articles highlighting their impact.

Today, we are pleased to announce several new features that we hope you will find helpful.

Comprehensive ICC Section Directory

The first new feature is a comprehensive, searchable directory of ICC sections worldwide. At the time of writing, more than 700 individual sections are listed in the system.

Some sections have not yet been published because we are still missing information about them. They will be added as soon as the necessary details become available.

As we continue building this public ICC section database, you may notice that some sections are missing or that certain details are incorrect or outdated. We welcome your feedback, suggestions, and updates. You can also submit missing sections using the forms available on the website.

Global ICC Map

All listed sections are also displayed on a dynamic global map. Each section has its own marker, located approximately where the relevant club or contact person is based.

It is exciting to browse the map and see ICC sections in nearly every country worldwide. Some countries do not yet have ICCs, and the map helps identify opportunities for future ICC development in those areas.

This feature has been in the making for nearly two years now, and I would like to take the opportunity and recognize the work of Executive Committee member Bruno Scovazzi, who has been updating and maintaining the global ICC database for many years.

In the next stage, we plan to connect each section’s page with relevant news articles about its activities, projects, and initiatives. These articles will eventually appear automatically on the corresponding section pages. This will require considerable development work, and we appreciate your patience as we continue improving the website.

Global Agenda of Online ICC Sessions

The ICC Executive Committee has scheduled a series of Zoom meetings, to be held every few weeks. These meetings are listed in the agenda, where everyone can view the details and register.

Many ICC sections also organize public online meetings that are open to all Rotarians. We invite these sections to submit their events for inclusion in the global agenda. Their sessions may also be highlighted in our monthly newsletter.
