When International Partnership Becomes Service
On 6 September, more than 140 sponsors, partners, volunteers and members of the RBS family gathered on a beautiful terrace in Bengaluru for Sound Healing for a Cause, organised by our friends at Rotary Bangalore Social.
For 90 minutes, the gentle resonance of Tibetan singing bowls and their deep vibrations created an extraordinary atmosphere of peace, harmony and reflection. Yet behind that moment of serenity lay something even more powerful: a concrete act of compassion and service.
The funds raised during the event will help finance life-saving heart surgery for four children in need. Four young lives, four families and four new reasons to hope.
The Rotary Club Rome International was deeply honoured to serve as the International Partner of this meaningful initiative, alongside Rotaract District 3191, 23 Rotary Clubs and many generous sponsors and partners.
For us, this is exactly what international partnership through the ICC network should represent.
A project may be born within a local community, but international cooperation can give it a broader reach—connecting people, clubs and communities across borders and transforming shared values into meaningful action.
The ICCs are far more than a framework for friendship between countries. They can become powerful instruments of cultural exchange, mutual understanding, cooperation, service and growth.
Through these connections, we learn from one another, embrace different cultures and discover new ways of serving our communities.
Most importantly, we transform Rotary friendship into something real, visible and capable of changing lives.
Our heartfelt thanks go to our member Jenny E. Bohlin Panozzo, President of ICC Italy–India, whose dedication, warmth and international relationships made this partnership possible.
Different countries.
Different cultures.
One Rotary family.
And, above all, four children who now have a better chance at life.
